Locus is a multipurpose building that aims to cater to all the needs of NABA (Nuova Academia di Belli Arti) students and showcase the work that is created therewithin. Incorporating a work space, canteen, auditorium, gallery, workshop and much more, Locus efficiently uses the space available to allow the students to work to their full potential whilst inviting outsiders to view their work.
By using a modular grid system, moveable walls and modular furniture, Locus allows for any future eventualities concerning the ever changing functions of space within a design school whilst maintaining the historic facade of the building.
For a university set on a closed and confined space, Locus uses the location in its most ergonomic way whilst publicising the students’ work.
